well a friend of mine did a project coding music into a laser and transmitting music over one end, and having a decoder-receiver thing at the other end of the laser which would play the music. apparently the laser can successfully transmit the music for 2 kms. OR you could just have a fancy...

I know there is hydrauliCAD. not 100% sure if it can do pneumatics but most probably it can. it might be a wee bit expensive though. I bet if you contact them, they'll answer you much better than i can. cheers
