Graduate How can I integrate this ODE numerically?
I'm sorry,there's a mistake in the boundary conditions. They are as follows: f(0)=0; f'(inf)=1; f'(-inf)=(a-1)/a; where a is a parameter.- michujo

Hi.As far as I know Timoshenko beam model includes the effect of shear efforts which is usually neglected when dealing with slender beams. The most of the beams you will encounter are slender (steel beams for example), which are much longer than wide so unless you're analyzing concrete beams...- michujo
