Twins Paradox: Why One Twin is Older When Reunited

I didn't understand why should any be older than the other if movement is relative and there were no difference between the frames of reference. Now, the acceleration of the ship makes a difference between them. Thou i have to admit i can't fully visualize why the Earth man ends up older. I...

Twins Paradox: Why One Twin is Older When Reunited

Thank you both for your replies. But i still don't get something. If the twin on the ship accelerates away, turns back and accelerates again, doesn't that mean that from his/her perspective his/her brother at Earth does the same thing?. I don't understand what differentiates one of the frames...

Twins Paradox: Why One Twin is Older When Reunited

Hi All. Layman question. In the twin's paradox, why one of the brothers is older when they meet again?. if movement is relative. What determines which of them ends up older? Hope i explained myself. Thanks.

    Kinetic energy question. (layman)

If i measure the energy of the ball as it is approaching me, don't i get different ones? If this is true, the total energy of an object is not absolute?

    Kinetic energy question. (layman)

Wikipedia " In physics, the kinetic energy of an object is the energy which it possesses due to its motion.[1] It is defined as the work needed to accelerate a body of a given mass from rest to its stated velocity" Where is the kinetic energy? If it is in the object and comes from an...

    Kinetic energy question. (layman)

I don't get it. If anything in motion has kinetic energy and motion is relative then the kinetic motion of an abject is relative? if an object passes me by it has kinetic energy but if i move with it, it does not? Confused here!.

Sorry. Yes, I omitted the word ¨HAND¨.

    Kinetic energy question. (layman)

Hi all. English is not my native language, so bare with me (joke i found googling the right word). I am from Argentina. My question. If i throw a ball, i have learned it has kinetic energy. But if motion is relative doesn't that mean that my hand has the kinetic energy too? thanks.

Is reality at quantum level just probablilistic?

Hi. Modus. The values observed are random but how do we know that there is not a deterministic proceses behind the apparent random value?. Like a random emulation in a computer program. Thanks for the answer.

Is reality at quantum level just probablilistic?

Hi. First of all English is not my native language and i am a layperson, so I hope i can explain my self. It is said that reality at the quantum level is probabilistic, not determined. My question is : That is really the case or a probabilistic knowledge is the best we can get as humans...

What does it mean that an electron has a negative charge?

Hi. What is a ¨charge¨ ? What does it mean that an electron has a negative charge? What is modified in particle when it changes charge, if posible.? When two charges atract , is one that pulls the other or both pull each other? thanks

Experiments Proving Electromagnetic Waves are Real

Electromagnetic wave? Hi. Wich experiments show that an electromagnetic wave is a wave? And what kind of wave? How i think of it? Sure not like a wave on the ocean, there is no ocean there. So? thanks
