Please, help Thousands of academic lives being destroyed by our gov
My country is implementing an unified TAS-like exam. All of our best universities use it as the sole criterion for admission of new students. It happens yearly and had more than 6 million participants this year. It is by far the most important exam of a student's life. Half of the exam is...- MrDocat

Computer Engineering or Computer Science?
chiro, I have maintened a tibia server (online game) for a few years and have been making a programming language for the last months as well as minor projects such as sites and a tibia client. Why you say so? College on my country is free I should note. You think a diploma isn't worth it anymore?- MrDocat

Computer Engineering or Computer Science?
Sorry for yet another topic on the subject, but my question is very objective. I don't know which one I choose. I'm a programmer with 10 years of experience so I like it and want a degree about it, not hardware. Artificial intelligence, data mining, algorithms and so on. So you'd say CS. The...- MrDocat

General/complete physics simulation software?
Not that hard if it is implemented as particles (atoms) interactions only. For example, you code the dynamics of an iron atom (mainly electromagnetic forces, I guess) and the algorithm will do the magic of giving the solid metal all it's properties. Right? Now, if you make your tests small...- MrDocat

General/complete physics simulation software?
Is there a complete physics simulator that I can use to do lots of things while I learn physics? For example, I just learned about barymeters. It would be very interesting to simulate one. It could be done setting up a small atmosphere filled with a gas, the glass model and the liquid. Some time...- MrDocat

Courses Are Online Neurology Courses the Key to Understanding the Brain?
I find this confusing. The brain itself is a giantic neural network. In order to begin understanding it you'll need a great knowledge in many topics of science, including lots of chemistry, physics and math, which are not extensively covered in a med course. I wonder how one with no background...- MrDocat

How Can I Pursue a Career in Medicine with Physics Skills?
After overthinking the situation, for various reasons you can hint from my prev. topics, I decided I will leave electronics engineering and try to get a place on med school. The only thing is that I'm very skilled on math, love physics, was doing really great on the unified exams on engineering...- MrDocat

Medical Is There Any Hope for Metastatic Cancer Patients?
What is the cause of that organs shortage if so many people die every day? Also, were not full organs cloned/synthetized using stem cells yet? Why are they removing whole organs instead of manually using precision machines to remove only the cancer tissue?- MrDocat

Medical Is There Any Hope for Metastatic Cancer Patients?
How is one supposed to detect cancer early if whenever he asks for a check-up all he gets is a blood/urine exam that won't show most of the cancers?- MrDocat

Medical Is There Any Hope for Metastatic Cancer Patients?
Why this still happen? After years of research all we can do for a cancer pacient is... nothing? The same we would do 500 years ago? Any particular reason we can't remove all tumors manually/mechanically?- MrDocat

Medical Is There Any Hope for Metastatic Cancer Patients?
My uncle has terminal cancer spread through his bones, lungs and kidneys. Our doctors gave him 6 months. But on top of all of the human's knowledge and technology, I should ask, honestly. Is there some thing that can still save him? A new treatment. Something?- MrDocat

What is known about the processing of our vision and where can I learn about it?
Andy Resnick, thanks! Pythagorean, that's what I am talking about. It seems awesome we know that much. Where can I learn about it?- MrDocat
