Graduate Ginzburg-Landau Parameter for YBCO
Can anyone provide a good reference which gives the G-L parameter for YBCO (a) along the ab-plane of the sample and (b) along the c-axis? I've been to the depths of Google Scholar and back and found nothing, so any help would be much appreciated. :)- Muon Cat

Graduate Accepted (precise) value for lunar L2 point?
Ah okay, thank you very much guys! :) I was hoping for a literature value I could compare to because I have to write a report on this, but that is helpful all the same.- Muon Cat

Graduate Accepted (precise) value for lunar L2 point?
Does anyone know where I can find one? I've written a program to test the stability of the lunar L2 point by placing a massless test object in orbit there and I've found an optimised value based on the approximation r_{m}(\frac{M_{M}}{3M_{E}})^{1/3} where r_{m} is the radius of the...- Muon Cat

Physics Summer Placements for a 2nd year Physics student
Alright, well thanks anyway, you've still been helpful. I looked at NSF, it seems you don't have to be a US citizen but you still have to be enrolled at a US university...damn.- Muon Cat

Physics Summer Placements for a 2nd year Physics student
Thanks for the quick reply. :) Do you know of any programmes in the US which accept international students? I've looked at some and they all seem to be catered towards US citizens only, but if I had the chance to spend my summer in the US I certainly wouldn't say no...- Muon Cat

Physics Summer Placements for a 2nd year Physics student
Hi, I'm a second year physics student (doing a 4-year course) at Durham university and I really want to get some relevant work experience this summer. I've looked into a fair number of placement programmes (like IAESTE UK, the Nuffield Foundation, RISE etc.) both abroad and in the UK, but...- Muon Cat
