Graduate Gamma ray burst associated with LIGO GW event
Extremely dense, ok, but is it enought as a proof of black holes existence? Considering that something like a black hole is incredibly big to claim, don't you think that an incredibly strong proof should be need to support this claim?- myuncle

Graduate Gamma ray burst associated with LIGO GW event
Jonathan, as a layman, I wonder how is it possible to assume that the gravitational waves are coming from black holes, considering that we have zero convincing proof that black holes exist. Wouldn't make more sense to, first proove the black holes existence, and then, try to detect their...- myuncle

Graduate Does gravity REALLY pull on light? Really?
It's fascinating that Soldner calculations came 100 years before Einstein, but he couldn't challenge any astronomer to get some pictures during a solar eclipse...- myuncle

Johann Georg von Soldner did some calculations in 1801 about light bending, were they very close to Einstein?- myuncle

IBM's breakthrough chip technology lights the path to exascale computing
http://www.physorg.com/news/2010-12-ibm-breakthrough-chip-technology-path.html Can Microsoft or AMD use this Nanophotonics chip technology? Can they say goodbye to Moore's Law after this breakthrough?- myuncle

High School Time Dilation & Stem Cell Therapy: Twin A vs Twin B
I believe in the future stem cells will cure everything and stop the aging process, and I also think that any mammal traveling at high speed would be affected by failing organs and a weaker immune system (just my opinion). So, two people of the same age are on Earth. They are identical twins...- myuncle
