High School Why do baggy pants keep you warmer than tight pants?
Hey I just wondered.. You normally say that if you wear pants with a little air in between the legs and the pants you will warm up the air and that will make them warmer. If you wear tight pants there will be almost no air in between and therefore they will be colder. Or similar with other...- naab

Math Is it Easier to Transition from Math to Physics or Vice Versa?
I see math as a tool for physics. Kinda like the pencil for writing.. But I find physics far more fascinating than math.. Don't really think math is "fun" at the same way at all.. Like someone said, I think mathematicians are working on boring problems..- naab

High School Turning lightbulbs on and off makes it blow faster False or true?
Yeah, but everytime I ask a question I turn on, and I might blow up someday if I ask too much :P No.. If you ask a question you might feel stupid for 5 minutes, but if you don't ask, you might feel stupid your whole life.. -

High School Turning lightbulbs on and off makes it blow faster False or true?
:D I read/hear/watch physics almost every day, it's so addictive... I'm a total physics junkie :D -

High School Turning lightbulbs on and off makes it blow faster False or true?
I'm not familiar with DC and AC because I'm from Europe.. Is DC = and AC is the variable current? or the other way around.. please the answer to why it vibrates.. :P it's late, I can't think.. -

High School Turning lightbulbs on and off makes it blow faster False or true?
I think it vibrates because of the moving electrons, but I'm not sure.. but you agree that the frequency of a possible sound from the filament would be high right.. so if you could hear the filament vibrate it would be a high pitch sound.. right? -

rewebster, I think so too... the filaments vibrate so rapidly so their hum would be almost ultrasound I think.. on the video you can barely see them shake and it's slowed down 40 times... -

Heey...! when you turn the light on the filament vibrates.. so maybe there is something about it after all: around 40 secs... -

I also thought it was an "old wives tale" haha.. Like taking a swim right after you have eaten.. -

High School Turning lightbulbs on and off makes it blow faster False or true?
When you were little you were always told not to "play" with light, by turning it on and off. This was because the light bulb would "blow up" faster.. But is this true? I have learned that the tungsten filament in a light bulb wears up because of the heat that makes the tungsten "vaporize"... -

High School Speed of Light: Get Answers to Your Questions
Hey If you shoot a beam of light through a piece of glass, the speed of the light changes.. When the beam exits the glass again it speeds up to the speed light has in air, right? So my question is, where does the light get the energy to speed up again from?
