Hello everyone
I want to know what is the difference between Absorption and Extinction spectra. and in term of experiment how can get extinction spectrum.
Thank you
Hello everyone
in a synthesis, they mixed oleylamine with a boiling solution of toluene for 2hours
they didn't mention if it's with reflux or not !
i don't know if it doesn't represent any harmful consequence even in fume hood
to caracterize for exple metallic nanoparticles with SEM i should deposite them on a substrate
i tried a deposition on glass substrate but it doesn't work and i see nothing
can anyone help me or suggest an appropriate solution to that
best regards
if i have spherical nanoparticles sized 30nm and i want to cover them with a product with an amount of 0.6 molecule/nm²
how can i know the corresponding quantity that i should take of this product?
is it by multipliying the surface of nanoparticle (4πr²) by 0.6?
Hi everyone
in an article they mentioned that the amount added of a product is given by molecules/nm²
how can i obtain a molar or mass concentration from it ?
best regards
Even if we add the organic solvent nanoparticles have an affinity to water so they remain in the aqueous phase
Metal are gold or silver...what is the role of the surfactant? Is it to transfer them to the organic phase? In this case I've tried this method but it doesn't work for my solvent(...
The nanoparticles are prepared in water ! I have no other products in the solution.. the goal is to dry and redissolve them in organic solvents so I must avoid agglomerating them while drying
hello everyone
i wonder if someone can help me to dry completely metallic nanoparticles synthesized in water
while maintaining their shape (without aggregation).or if there is a way to synthesize them directly in organic phase
