Hydrogen Gas Transparency With Visible Light
I'm reading my physics text, Matters and Interactions, and there is an example about why Hydrogen gas is transparent in visible light. It says it is transparent because visible light has energies from 1.8 to 3.1eV, and in order to move a Hydrogen atom from ground state to the first excited...- Neek 007

Use a substitution to compute the integral
u = sqrt(x) du = 1/2sqrt(x) x = u^2 ∫1/(u^2 + u^3) ∫1/(u^2(1+u)) Then I use partial fractions decomposition A= 1 B = -1 ∫1/u^2 - ∫1/(1+u) substitute in u ∫1/x - ∫1/(1+sqrt(x)) ln(abs(x)) - ln(abs(1+sqrt(x))) Answer: ln((x/(1+sqrt(x)))- Neek 007

How can I accurately read mathematical symbols to understand 3D space?
Thank you! After reading a second time, I noticed it said "points", plural, and that lines up with the explanation. Thanks for helping me.- Neek 007

How can I accurately read mathematical symbols to understand 3D space?
Okay, thank you. The textbook goes on from their definition to say "We have given a one-to-one correspondence between points P in space and ordered triples (a,b,c) in R^3". I think I understand this statement to be the Point P is located at (a,b,c). Is this also a fair comprehension?- Neek 007

How can I accurately read mathematical symbols to understand 3D space?
I am not too used to reading mathematical text using symbols. I need some help confirming what I have in my textbook. The book is describing a point in 3D space using the definition R x R x R = {(x,y,z) | x,y,z \in R} and R is all real numbers Using this source describing the...- Neek 007

Why amino acids as Zwitterons in solid state and ph neutral?
Hi forum goersI'm reviewing some coursework for my General Chemistry class and cannot seem to find a reasonable explanation of why amino acids exist as zwitterons in solid state and ph7 solutions. I'm fairly certain the explanation has to do with its solubility in water, but I am not sure. Here...- Neek 007

How Is the Retarding Force on a Meteor Calculated Using Newton's Laws?
Okay, I'm settling with this. Ffr - Fm = may Ffr = may + Fm Ffr = (.25kg)(9.2m/s2) + (.25kg)(9.8m/s2) Ffr = 4.75 N- Neek 007
