Undergrad Degaussing Ships: What do You Know?
Thats great and all, but I asked about degaussing ships. As far as I know, magnetic mines detect a ships magnetic field, then it checks the ships *acoustic* signal, if the signal is not registered with the mine as a friendly vessel, KABOOM.- Nietsnie

Undergrad Degaussing Ships: What do You Know?
Degaussing ships?? Does anyone know how ships are degaussed exactly? I know that basically very thick electrically conducting cables are wrapped around perpendicular to length of the ship. Large currents are then sent through in an effort to cancel out the ships magnetic field. If anyone...- Nietsnie

Graduate Parallel Universe, 10 dimensions
Parallel Universe, 10 dimensions... Parallel Universes, 10 dimensions and more. This is a theory (more like hypothetical situation really) I came up with the other day as I was thinking about the 10 (or 26) dimensions predicted by string theory as well as antimatter, thermodynamics and the... -

Truth teller vs liar : go to Hell
Do you mean manage to find ONLY a yes/no question(thus expecting only 2 possible answers, viz. yes or no.)? If so, the question posted above is invalid. As the guard would have to give a question which is neither yes/no. Otherwise the above question seems to be the right one to ask.- Nietsnie

We hade cyanide and conc hydrochloric acid which looks the same. I got the 2 mixed up. So my chemistry prof methodically goes...- Nietsnie
