High School Is Fire a Plasma? | Physics Debate
There would be needed a high enough temperature to kick the electrons all the way of the gas, to create ions. I would assume a couple of thousand degrees C. probably 2-3000.- Oblef

High School Is Fire a Plasma? | Physics Debate
Sorry I'm not from an English speaking country. Is there something you don't understand? When I say that, I mean plasma like there also are gas, liquid and solid. That kind of plasma.- Oblef

High School Is Fire a Plasma? | Physics Debate
Hey everybody. I heard a physics professor at Berkeley say that normal fire (from a lighter) is plasma. My science teacher at high school says that it isn't. So my question is, is normal fire in state of plasma or not? Thanks.- Oblef

Alright, I've got a bit more focused now. I'm writing about the different interpretations/conceptions/perceptions of light throughout time. Any body know any literature on this subject? The old Greeks, Indians, medieval alchemist or Newtonian or modern conceptions?- Oblef

I also think the intensity is given by the amplitude.. Just like volume in sound is given by it.- Oblef

Undergrad When you touch something there isn't really any physical contact
Django - yeah but what I meant by touching was just matter itself applying force to matter. Don't know how else to describe what I meant.. :/- Oblef
