Schools What college can I hope to get in?
I'm from an Eastern European country. I'm interested in studying Physics, possibly up to a doctorate degree. Obviously, I'd like to get as good an education as I can, so could you inform me as to which university I could hope to get into? I'm in my junior year of high school. I have a couple of...- Pastel

What is the intensity formula for a spherical sound wave?
Thanks, but that doesn't really help. Believe me, I've tried Google. The link you offered has a formula that might be useful, were I to know the sound power, which I don't. What I do know is amplitude and pulsation, as I've said.- Pastel

What is the intensity formula for a spherical sound wave?
Homework Statement I need the formula of the intensity of a sound wave at distance r from the source. The wave is spherical, and we know \rho, c, the speed of the wave, \omega, the pulsation, and A, the amplitude of the wave. Homework Equations The problem text specifies that intensity is...- Pastel

Undergrad Faster then the speed of light
In addition to all that's already been said, here's the formula: As you can see, even if, theoretically, you'd have a body A moving at speed c relative to a body B, which in turn is moving at speed c relative to a body D in the same direction, A would still be moving at speed...- Pastel

Graduate Double-slit experiment - a couple of questions
Thanks for the answer. I admit I don't know a lot about QM - I was just asking some questions about things I thought I should know before I delve deeper. Still, could you maybe explain this one? Where was I wrong? (I don't doubt that I was, I just want to understand these things better).- Pastel

Graduate Double-slit experiment - a couple of questions
Hi. I've just started learning about quantum mechanics, and I find the whole subject very interesting. I have read about the double-slit experiment, and I didn't understand a couple of things. Assuming one were to fire one particle at a time at the diffraction slit: - will all particles pass...- Pastel
