How Many Angles Maintain 2.00 W/m² Intensity in GPS Satellite Tests?

yup turns out it was just the system being super precise, the value needed to be calculated with a more precise lamda value, not 0.19. But otherwise, it is correct.

The thickness of glass and the longest wavelength

Homework Statement In your research lab, a very thin, flat piece of glass with refractive index 2.00 and uniform thickness covers the opening of a chamber that holds a gas sample. The refractive indexes of the gases on either side of the glass are very close to unity. To determine the thickness...

How Many Angles Maintain 2.00 W/m² Intensity in GPS Satellite Tests?

Homework Statement The GPS (Global Positioning System) satellites are approximately 5.18 m across and transmit two low-power signals, one of which is at 1575.42 MHz (in the UHF band). In a series of laboratory tests on the satellite, you put two 1575.42 MHz UHF transmitters at opposite ends of...

How Is Destructive Interference Achieved in a Liquid Film on Glass?

Mentor note: Thread moved from Adv. Physics Homework 1. Homework Statement Light is incident normally from air onto a liquid film that is on a glass plate. The liquid film is 174 nm thick, and the liquid has index of refraction 1.60. The glass has index of refraction n = 1.50. Calculate the...
