Bohr's model and a statement in my textbook
In satellite motion around a planet, if the satellite is in orbit, it experiences only the gravitational force and its energy in orbit is constant (see 'https://openstax.org/books/university-physics-volume-1/pages/13-4-satellite-orbits-and-energy'): It's not radiating energy, is it? Its...- photon184739

Undergrad Conservation of momentum and energy problem
In an elastic collision, a 400-kg bumper car collides directly from behind with a second, identical bumper car that is traveling in the same direction. The initial speed of the leading bumper car is 5.60 m/s and that of the trailing car is 6.00 m/s. Assuming that the mass of the drivers is...- photon184739

Can Mixed Units in Ratios Be Converted and Used Accurately in Calculations?
I have the solution, but my question is that in my first attempt, I simply calculated a_c = 60^2/150 ignoring the fact that the units for 60 are km/hr and the units for 150 are meters. Is this ever salvageable? Is there any way to retain the 'mixed' units of km with meters in the ratio and...- photon184739
