Undergrad Symbolic Logic (quick easy question)
Hey thanks for the reply. oh right so can I derive ~P from the steps below? Would it go in the main scope line? I'm thinking now maybe you can't because step 1 is a negation and step 2 is a conjunction. 1.~(P&Q) Main assumption Sub derivation 2..Assume P&Q Which logic textbook are you...- PhysicsILike

Undergrad Symbolic Logic (quick easy question)
Hey thanks for the reply. I can't use truth tables it has to be in derivation form. I get the demorgan law I just need to figure out how to turn that into a negation elimination or introduction.- PhysicsILike

Undergrad Symbolic Logic (quick easy question)
I have ~(P&Q) and I want to get ~P v ~Q (& means and) (v means or) Am I right in thinking that I can: 1.~(P&Q) Main assumption Sub derivation 2..Assume P&Q 3.Reiterate ~(P&Q) End sub derivation 4.Then do 1-2, ~I (negation elimination) to get ~P 5.then do vI (disjunction...- PhysicsILike

So I will never ahceive any research in Physics?
I was thinking of taking half computer science and half physics or just programming modules alongside physics. This is because I've done some programming and system architecture. Although with a physics degree I should be able to pick it up. And maybe be able to land a job in programming. On...- PhysicsILike

So I will never ahceive any research in Physics?
Thanks for the reply. I'm from the UK and I looked at what graduates go into. And the most highlighted bit of the chart was finance. How is your PHD going? What are you doing it on?- PhysicsILike

So I will never ahceive any research in Physics?
So I will never ahceive any research in Physics? Is the question that comes to my mind when I read around physics research on the internet. Is it impossible to do research in physics? I've done two Psychology research investigations at school. Nothing groundbreaking I just looked up a...- PhysicsILike

I've been scared into not doing Physics
Yeah true. They should have a proficiency attitude test. Cause in the subjects they let me do I topped the class in. Allways was in the top 3 students in the class. They made me waste a year but the philosophy course was worth it. I did bad for the first few weeks just slowly absorbing things...- PhysicsILike

I've been scared into not doing Physics
Good point, yeah I enjoy science more then softer subjects, I'm fed up of doing essay after essay affter essay. The course has allways been fine. It is at a top uk university number 6 for physics. They have made it relevant for entry into the physics. They have to protect their reputation...- PhysicsILike

I've been scared into not doing Physics
I got grade C's in my GCSE's when you need B's to do a science subject . This was because I messed around and never did my work. So I wanted to do psychology at university but at the back of my mind physics was allways there. I was allways interested by it (used to watch online lectures, read...- PhysicsILike

I've been scared into not doing Physics
I have applied to do a course at a top UK university for physics. The first year being a foundation year (maths physics and chemistry). Because I never did these subjects at the end of school. I topped my class in two subjects and was not far behind in another at the end of school. I'm...- PhysicsILike

Undergrad Any arguments for time travel back in time (the past)?
I have just come back to the future and watched it and I get it now. (Of course I hid my self in a room for 3hours so when I go back in time I don't bump into myself. I also used a particle machine to create a bubble around me making sure I don't affect anything, even the atmosphere was not...- PhysicsILike

Undergrad Any arguments for time travel back in time (the past)?
Thanks for that movie recommendation I’m going to watch that tonight, looks a fair bit complicated though with the Feynman diagrams and the directors no nonsense approach to dumbing down - PhysicsILike
