Python Piet programming (python programming language )
I think you downloaded the wrong thing. I just downloaded http://www.bertnase.de/npiet/npiet-1.3a-win32.zip and it contains npiet.exe among others.- pilofrogs

Python Piet programming (python programming language )
Hmm... those don't sound like file types that npiet would want. It wants image files, like png or gif. Where does your list of file types come from? Are you running npiet from the command line? If not, please try it that way. Did you try the debug option?- pilofrogs

Python Piet programming (python programming language )
Did you try npiet for win32? If it doesn't work for you, what's not working? What others have you tried?- pilofrogs

Are processing speed and reaction times related?
Computers not only have to react, they have to analyse the stimulus. For you and me, the time it takes to recognize that a dog is in the road and the time it takes to push the brakes are in the same basic ballpark, in terms of the time they take. A computer is going to have a hard time...- pilofrogs

Maple Anyone Use VMs to run Maple - or Use VMs at all?
Dual booting and in not using a VM would probably be better than using a VM for any computationally intensive work. VMs never run as fast as bare metal. While VMs can share CPU, they can't share memory, so Cosmic Debris is right on about memory being helpful. If you don't care that much about...- pilofrogs

What are some examples of DIY projects for a Unix sys admin?
Hi all. A robot told me to introduce myself, so I obey. I'm the unix sys admin at Seattle Central College. I probably know far too much about how Apache & Nginx actually work. I found these fora while looking for engineering advice. I have essentially zero physics or engineering education...- pilofrogs

Understanding how a door closer works
Hi everyone. A door closer is that thing above your office door that makes it close on it's own, but not super fast. It's basically a piston to slow it down and spring to pull it shut. It has two arms, one hinged to the middle, horizontally speaking, of the top of the door. The other...- pilofrogs
