Undergrad What Are Integration and Differentiation in Calculus?
Is not the limit also a derivative? The limit at any point IS the instantaneous rate of change at that point, and is the limit at that point, right? -

Undergrad What Are Integration and Differentiation in Calculus?
I've complete College Algebra and "PreCalculus". This took me right up short of differentiation. I understand the concept of a limit, but tha'ts about as far as I have gone. (Been away - had tons of things happening in my personal life...) -

So.... after reading both responses, and before we go any farther... differentiation is the act of finding the derivative? Am I ok so far? -

Undergrad What Are Integration and Differentiation in Calculus?
I'm a self-learner (so far) when it comes to Calculus. I have completed College Algebra (with a grade of B) and PreCalculus (with a grade of A) and am a later-in-life than usual student (age 50). I plan on returning to College in January of 2012 and will start on a degree in either... -

High School Signal Generator: Frequency Calculation Help Needed
My generator here is simply a SIGNAL generator, that is, it is capable of generating a SIGNAL, not any real POWER. Even an LED is too much of a load for my generator (yea, I tried it and my generator cannot provide enough current). But that does not mean that yours will not do it, maybe it... -

High School Signal Generator: Frequency Calculation Help Needed
That's how mine works. Even 10 hertz is pretty fast, you'll likely see it as a flickering of the LED. But I'm not sure the generator will have enough output to drive the LED.
