What Are Integration and Differentiation in Calculus?

Is not the limit also a derivative? The limit at any point IS the instantaneous rate of change at that point, and is the limit at that point, right?

What Are Integration and Differentiation in Calculus?

I've complete College Algebra and "PreCalculus". This took me right up short of differentiation. I understand the concept of a limit, but tha'ts about as far as I have gone. (Been away - had tons of things happening in my personal life...)

So.... after reading both responses, and before we go any farther... differentiation is the act of finding the derivative? Am I ok so far?

What Are Integration and Differentiation in Calculus?

I'm a self-learner (so far) when it comes to Calculus. I have completed College Algebra (with a grade of B) and PreCalculus (with a grade of A) and am a later-in-life than usual student (age 50). I plan on returning to College in January of 2012 and will start on a degree in either...

Signal Generator: Frequency Calculation Help Needed

My generator here is simply a SIGNAL generator, that is, it is capable of generating a SIGNAL, not any real POWER. Even an LED is too much of a load for my generator (yea, I tried it and my generator cannot provide enough current). But that does not mean that yours will not do it, maybe it...

Signal Generator: Frequency Calculation Help Needed

That's how mine works. Even 10 hertz is pretty fast, you'll likely see it as a flickering of the LED. But I'm not sure the generator will have enough output to drive the LED.
