From an evolutionary perspective, why would this happen?
From an evolutionary perspective, why would a human ever play a violin, write poetry, open their mouth to sing, paint a scenery, or compose a symphony? What purpose does it fulfill? Why do these works of art arouse the feeling of awe and beauty in the audience? In short, how does the human...- PNGeng

From an evolutionary perspective, why would this happen?
For those who believe human behavior is explicable in terms of evolutionary biology, can you please explain the following event. I'm personally at a loss for words. Maybe somebody else can help me make sense of this.- PNGeng

Can I get into computational neuroscience from EE?
I am having a tough time finding comp-neuro graduate programs that do not require a lot of biology/chemistry. Can anyone recommend colleges for comp-neuro? Not JHU/Berkeley/Columbia type schools either, I'm looking for middle tier schools.- PNGeng

Best way to learn - use the solution manual often or not?
^ Is it not possible that a solutions manual can help you learn how to reason through problems? It seems like those getting outraged at users of solution manuals are discounting how the manual is being used. You can use it wisely or use it as a crutch. Your arguments are only valid for the...- PNGeng

Irrelevant internship vs. GRE preparation Please help decide
Thanks DiracPool and wotanub for the input. I'm still undecided. I took the Princeton Review Practice GRE online and got a verbal/quantitative score of 150/152. Thoughts? Does this change either of your opinions?- PNGeng

Vector review for electromagnetics
I am a junior EE scheduled to take engineering electromagnetics in the Fall and want to know what math topics are the most useful to review. I know E&M involves quite a bit of vector analysis but I'm not sure how deep into it I should look. For anyone who has taken a similar course, can you...- PNGeng
