Need help with pressurized air
A stock car racing Saturday night will have a right front tire temperature up to 225° F tread temperature. Inside the tire will be up to 255° F tread temperature. Internal tire temperature (often called core, carcass, bulk, or inner liner temperature) refers to the heat deeper inside the tire's...- Ranger Mike

Need help with pressurized air
During a stock car race, we need to maintain a proper tire diameter once the tire is brought up to proper operating temperatures. usually 180 to 210 degrees F. depending upon the weight of vehicle and particular tire compound. in order to maintain the proper diameter, we use nitrogen instead of...- Ranger Mike

Rear end camber The tighter the track the more stagger is needed. A ¼ mile paperclip track means up to 4 inch stagger. That is a lot of camber angle added to a neutral camber rear axle tire. Both stagger and camber are used together in oval racing to help the car "turn itself" into the...- Ranger Mike

A practical way to vaporize fuel for high MPG?
I built a 493 CID Chrysler Wedge engine with Quench. I had .060" piston to head clearance. Compression ratio was 11 to 1 running unleaded pump gas. Had cold air intake. Fastest car I ever drove. Estimated 630 HP from similar Stoker 440 cid engine. Cam had .613" lift. Big CID engines love lots...- Ranger Mike

Thread No-Go plug gage allows 3 turns to enter. That's too many!
Go / No-Go gaging is direct and generally simple. If the Go fits (Fig. 1) and the No-Go does not (Fig. 2), the functional thread is in tolerance. The potential for problems occurs when the product begins to drift towards the extremes of the tolerance. This is when a better understanding of the...- Ranger Mike
