Can someone explain non-inertial reference frames

Can't believe this dialogue finished here. So much I would like to learn about irf's but am reluctant to spell it all out on a necromanced thread like this. Perhaps all my questions would have been answered had humber not been banned here as a crack-pot. IMO such posters should be refuted-as...

DSL works - No Telephone Dial Tone?

WRT the OP I've had they same situation where my DSL worked but not the phone a few times. The DSL-from what the ATT repair guy told me-requires a lot less power so if there is a minor short somewhere it may still run but not the phone. hth

    Integrate vector in rotating frame?

Bump. My only thought is I so wish some of the cognoscenti here would comment on your questions Hare. I suspect perhaps a few are brave enough to jump into this rabbit warren with no visible bottom. Certainly not I, but some answers here might be helpful on a related subject. Anyone?

KE of system / different reference frames question

The final recursion? @my (obi) wan: Your space shuttle analogy was quite interesting. I do hope humber addresses it in full. You were the one who started this cyber-strand at JREF way back in '08. Bet you never dreamed it would still be going on in 2012, having accrued well over 100k...

KE of system / different reference frames question

Best wishes for the new year back atcha mender. Yep, Cartville is still accelerating, and FYI humber has now posted pictures of 3 different carts he made. (Film at 11!) Remember how positive everyone was he would never make one? And if you or anyone has time, there's still my question...

KE of system / different reference frames question

Mender old bean! You've been missed at TR. Did you ever get around to do that test pulling your cart to wind speed and then releasing it along with some packing popcorn? I would still love to see a video of that. Also looking forward to 256bits response. And what about a decelerating FoR?

Wind Power Vehicle Traveling Down Wind Faster Than The Wind

@mender: I always like your basic explanations for how the cart works best. Find them reassuring in terms of how I perceive it. (And I wouldn't confess this elsewhere for fear of casting doubts on your understanding.) I know it's in the blog somewhere, but bet you know the gear ratio...

Wind Power Vehicle Traveling Down Wind Faster Than The Wind

Sorry to see this topic dropped. I was looking to seeing Yn3's maximum angle. Rumor has it that with it's fixed prop Blackbird functions best directly downwind. Any thoughts on that?

Solaculture: A novel biological approach for low cost energy?

Thought I'd give one last shot at getting some feedback on this idea. I admit it has been weakly presented, but on other sites Popovich was able to answer questions posed quite well. I'm still sort of on the fence, especially wrt how pragmatic the concept is. :(

Solaculture: A novel biological approach for low cost energy?

This seems to be a very interesting low-tech system to harness solar energy. I would greatly appreciate any input, critical or supportive, from the many knowledgeable posters who frequent this forum. You can click on the link and watch a short video, or just read the description of how it works...
