Build Powerful Electromagnet: Wire or Bitter Plates?

I don't think that'll work appreciate the thought though. I thought about doing a DC maglev type of propulsion to accelerate this ring. Only 3/4 of the ring will have magnets or some kind of propulsion system. The system will also suspend the ring so there is no friction on the ring so no...

Build Powerful Electromagnet: Wire or Bitter Plates?

Yeah it sounds like a coilgun but these electromagnets will be on the outside of an aluminum ring with iron pieces bolted onto it. These coils will accelerate the ring.

Build Powerful Electromagnet: Wire or Bitter Plates?

ill have to look up some equations. there will not be an iron core. the object of this electromagnet will be to get a piece of iron that is at the edge of it almost to the center then turn off.

Build Powerful Electromagnet: Wire or Bitter Plates?

I don't know how big of a field I am needing I'm not that familiar with this area of electricity. I would like to generat at least 1000 pounds of force is the only thing I know.

Build Powerful Electromagnet: Wire or Bitter Plates?

what about if the bittermagnet is made out of a solid piece of copper and has real insulation but no cooling cause it has high voltage and lower amperage? Let's say 5000v 3amp

Build Powerful Electromagnet: Wire or Bitter Plates?

I am needing to build an electromagnet that will sit around part of a torus. In your opinion would I be better off just using wire to wind my own electromagnet or making bitter plates that make an electromagnet? I realize this might sounds crazy but I need to build a very powerful...

    High voltage high amperage supply

actually i don't. i don't know if i need a power supply that big even. I'm just wanting to go big or go home. I have an invention that i want to build that's going to take very powerful electromagnets for it to work. I've been thinking about seeing if i can get funding to build my idea but...

    High voltage high amperage supply

Yeah but can you really say this is in series or in parallel all your doing is jumping the voltage across to the amperage. the grounds and powers aren't connected to be in parallel and the powerside isn't touching the ground on the otherside to be in series. i don't know though its just a...

    High voltage high amperage supply

I would like to do solid state tesla coils for this so it doesn't last just nanoseconds. The only thing arcing across will be the high voltage low amperage though it will be arcing over to the high amperage supply. Will this combine them to make a high amperage high voltage power supply?

    High voltage high amperage supply

Hello there i have an idea i want to try to build and i want to see what you think. I want to build a tesla coil that instead of making high voltage low amperage switch the coil sizes around so i have something that makes high amperage and low voltage say about 300-500 amps. Then i...

Can we see the moon through a microscope?

oh yeah i wasn't thinking again lol my bad

Can we see the moon through a microscope?

wait a minute i wasn't thinking properly the other day. I want the mirror to appear as distant still. Even if i can't get 10,000x mag its ok i know i can get 5,000x which is about what the hubbel can do and still get a clear image. I can zoom in on it while its in the mirror i know it will...

New Coil Gun Design: Seeking Input on Improved Design

This payday I'm going to build my first coilgun with this design and I will post a video on YouTube or something and give you all the link to it.

Can we see the moon through a microscope?

Yeah I don't think this idea will work thanks for the tips

Can we see the moon through a microscope?

your right you can only focus on objects that far away but if you put the mirror underneath of the microscope it would be within that millimeter range if you put a different mirror in the mix to project the moon onto it. It would be like taking a microscope to a picture except that mirror don't...
