Coal Ash Is More Radioactive than Nuclear Waste?
Coal ash is not, pound-for-pound, as radioactive as nuclear waste (whatever you mean by that) but there are bazillions of times more of it released into the environment, dumped into rivers, etc., so the overall amount of radioactive contamination released is quite a bit more.- Repairman

Setting up nuclear plants far away from human populations
I live in Utah. There has been talk about building a reactor here, near Green River, which is pretty isolated. It was iffy before and now it probably won't happen. But the basic problem is, worldwide, where you have cooling water you have people. Moving the power a long distance isn't that big...- Repairman
