Is Japan Collaborating with NASA and Boeing to Develop a Supersonic Airliner?
Keep in mind that that is just the engine they are talking about. While I'll agree that it does sound improbable, even if you have a silent engine, you will still be generating shocks which are LOUD, and the characteristic pressure N-wave will still be developed as the body moves through the...- rocketman

Catalytic decomposition of nitrous oxide?
Do you know the melting point of any of these catalysts? The decomposition of NOX can serve as a gas generator, creating oxygen and nitrogen, and can thermally sustain itself in the presence of a catalyst with relatively little activation energy. I would like to find a way to cost effectively... -

Catalytic decomposition of nitrous oxide?
Does anyone know what types of materials may be used to decrease the activation energy of 2N_2O->2N_2 +O_2. I think perhaps silver may work, but I need to find a material which will withstand the high temperature of decomposition thanks -

Can we harness energy from air using electrolysis or an aircell?
DARPA has been looking into fuel cells that use air for powering micro airial vehicles. In a standard fuel cell a red-ox reaction (although it has been a looooong time since i was in chem) occurs and the electrons from this reaction are used to provide a current and electro motive force. I...
