Question regarding Einstein's summation convention
What if there are 3 subscript indices in the expression, all of which are same and there is no superscript index. I mean is the expression meaningless or is it only meaningless in the summation convention?- rohitgupta

Question regarding Einstein's summation convention
I have just started on a course in Tensor calculus and I'm absolutely new to it, so I read that according to the summation convention, if an index appears twice, it means that the expression is summed over that index, but if it appears more than twice then the expression is meaningless. I want...- rohitgupta

Confusion regarding fundamental classical mechanics question
Hey thank you so much tiny tim! Yes it did occur to me that the moment equations need to be applied about the centre of mass, but I just can't find a strong explanation as to why the corner point in this case is not the centre of rotation because if I apply the moment equation about the centre...- rohitgupta

Confusion regarding fundamental classical mechanics question
A block is resting on a frictionless surface as shown in the figure attached with this post. Calculate the minimum force F required so that the block will topple? The dimensions of the block, free body diagram and other details are there in the picture attached. Now, since the surface is...- rohitgupta
