@Kozy..."The more load on the engine, the slower it will accelerate. Each time you change up a gear, the engine load increases so the rate of acceleration slows." Makes a lot more sense now... essentially torque required by the vehicle impacts engine acceleration. At any given instant ... (Torque produced by the engine X Gear ratio) - Losses = Torque required by the vehicle Given a constant load - engine speed and engine torque will always...- rohn52
