Well I thought about using the pH paper to tell, but the part I test it on might not be uniform, so it could do more damage than good? Not sure what DI water is please? -

I bought a Stainless Steel soap bar and it works, it just does. It was from China and hollow inside and I would like to know if that's either a cost cutting measure or how the bar works?
