Metals extracted from Carbonate ores
Hi, In my chemistry report I have include metals that are extracted from Carbonate ores. I was unable to find any other than Zinc from my own research. I am aware of Limestone and Dolomite. But is Clacium extracted from these ores? Could somebody inform me of any metals that are extracted...- sb.neethu

Thermal Decomposition of Carbonates
Hi, I have a practical assessment tomorrow which deals with the Thermal Decomposition of a metal Carbonate. Is it possible to write Ionic Equations for the reaction? Ionic solids and solutions are involved, but the reactions seem to be Double Decomposition, especially the test for CO2 Also...- sb.neethu

Chemistry - Net ionic equations, ionic solids
Hi, Thanks a lot for this very meaningful and generous reply. But just one question. How do we find the spectator ions? Ca(OH)2 isn't very soluble, so does that mean its ions won't dissociate in solution and thereby, this is the way it should be written in an ionic equation? Also, can...- sb.neethu
