SUMMARY

Metals extracted from carbonate ores primarily include Zinc, which is commonly derived from minerals such as Sphalerite. In addition to Zinc, Calcium can be extracted from carbonate ores like Limestone and Dolomite. The discussion highlights the importance of researching mineral carbonates for a comprehensive understanding of their applications and extraction methods. A recommended resource for further exploration is the website detailing various carbonate minerals.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of carbonate mineralogy
  • Knowledge of metal extraction processes
  • Familiarity with minerals like Sphalerite, Limestone, and Dolomite
  • Basic chemistry principles related to mineral composition
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the extraction process of Zinc from Sphalerite
  • Investigate the industrial applications of Calcium derived from Limestone
  • Explore the properties and uses of Dolomite in metallurgy
  • Study the environmental impacts of mining carbonate ores
USEFUL FOR

Hi,

In my chemistry report I have include metals that are extracted from Carbonate ores. I was unable to find any other than Zinc from my own research. I am aware of Limestone and Dolomite. But is Clacium extracted from these ores?

Could somebody inform me of any metals that are extracted from Carbonate ores?
