Is Space Travel Worth the Investment When Earth Needs Attention?

So basically the reason for space travel...in the long run...is to help save our earth. Without space travel, we wouldn't be able to do all of the experiments that we have been doing, and things wouldn't be as good as they are right now. Space travel is the final frontier as they say in star...

How do you find which direcion you are travelling in space?

How do we know what plane a planet is orbiting? Well, we see the gravitational force of the sun, acting on the earth, causing it to orbit around in an elliptical manor. There really is not an actual plane that the planets are in...but if you really think about it, their speed is whatever it is...

Time dilation and the big bang

My personal opinion to this is that i agree with you. The sexual drive of a human male is at it's top performance at the age of 19. This basically means...without protection back then...they should have been having sex, and babies for a long period of time...meaning more babies, meaning more...

Time dilation and the big bang

I am not to sure about this part...I mean, it was only days...not any significant time period...more like hours actually...and where does it give the list of creatures in order from first created to last created? I am not seeing this as some people may be seeing it... -Bob Smith

How do you find which direcion you are travelling in space?

Ah, that's right, I remember that from a telescope that I had used one time. It happened to be an electrical telescope, and i always had to align it to three different stars in the sky at night.

Time dilation and the big bang

I like the argument, and all of the information that you used to support you. It is a lot to take in, and I definitely enjoyed reading it. Helps me learn more about our universe. The only reason I had said 16 billion, was because i was referring to all of the years added up:8billion...

GEMS - a rich trove of information about galaxy evolution

Ah, oh, my mistake, i got names confused. I saw Nareid, and Nibles, and i confused you two. Nibles had brought up something in this post that had something to do with the radiation of stars being used to track their positions in the universe.

Time dilation and the big bang

Personally, my opinion on this is that he took the number 16 billion, and attempted to figure out how to create a pattern to split it into seven days, so as to have approximately 16 billion years taken up, and each passing day have it split in half...It seems that he has been able to do this by...

GEMS - a rich trove of information about galaxy evolution

All I have to say about the image that I just saw on that news article is wow. My comments on it are such as: 1. Great Ideas had to go into this to make it happen. 2. Thanks should be handed out to all of the scientist and engineers that helped make this happen, and even a more special thanks...

How do you find which direcion you are travelling in space?

Directions in space are never found by going north, south, east, or west. Instead they use terms like starboard, which is the right side of the shuttle, port, which is the left side of the shuttle, bow, which is the front of the shuttle, and stern which is the back. (If i have any of those terms...

How do scientists create a map of the sky using cosmic background radiation?

Well, from my knowledge, they use the red shift method. Or you can also remember that the farthest things we can see out there happen to be X many light years away, and say...a quasar that is 15 billion light years away...we are looking 15 billion years into the past...that is one of our...
