Understanding Power Supply Ratings and Compatibility
Hello i need a 9VAC 1.3A source but it's hard to come by... is there a way i can use a similar source? i don't know too much about this sort of thing but from what i understand the power output is more important than the individual current or voltage out... is that right? for example, my...- sdusheyko

Question about a heat transfer/fluid dynamics problem
so i think I've come up with an acceptable solution (compromise). I'm going to add a temperature strip to the top surface so that the practitioner can chose which part of the gradient is most suitable for hir experimentation.- sdusheyko

Question about a heat transfer/fluid dynamics problem
I have to theoretically design a 'pad' which would, in room temp conditions (~300K), have a surface temp of around (~290K). so just imagine basically a cold rectangle. since i want the most heat flux just at the top surface of this box i would use materials with poor thermal conductivity on...- sdusheyko

Linear systems diff eq question
you're right about everything you've said. I'm going to stick my head in a diff eq book and if i get lost i'll probably come back and whine. thanks- sdusheyko

Engineering Solving RLC Circuit Response: Converting to Phasor Notation and Troubleshooting
so I've converted the circuit to it's current source equivalent ( i can't remember if that's called thevenin or norton) and am able to add the impedances. what to do from here? i think I'm supposed to add the component impedances to the voltage input signal impedance and plug into v=ir for the...- sdusheyko

Engineering Solving RLC Circuit Response: Converting to Phasor Notation and Troubleshooting
the problem statement is attached. i've begun by converting everything into phasor notation but I'm not quite sure where to go from here. when i try to add the C and the L phasors, i get zero. this doesn't seem right. another problem is i have no idea what to do when i get the impedances of...- sdusheyko

What do you guys think of my final project idea?
air piston>turbine or piston<turbine for propulsion? minger; the point of the wrenches is to take their air turbines which I'm assuming they're equipped with, and they're cheap and easy to find at flea markets. do you have any suggestions as to what kind of machine i can take apart to get a...- sdusheyko

What do you guys think of my final project idea?
i'm about 1.5-2 years away from graduation and I'm thinking about what i might build for my senior project. i was thinking of a pneumatic vehicle of some sort, maybe a go cart or motorcycle, which uses modified pneumatic wrenches as motors. some of these wrenches seem to make a decent amount...- sdusheyko
