Graduate Why the discrepancy in muonic H Bohr radius? 285 fm or 256 fm?
Thank you very much, sir. I didn't know about reduced mass in Newtonian physics. Now I'm enlightened (after doing a bit more research).- seattle.truth

Graduate Why the discrepancy in muonic H Bohr radius? 285 fm or 256 fm?
Some places say (including this paper) claim the bohr radius of muonic hydrogen is 285http://ethesis.unifr.ch/theses/downloads.php?file=LudhovaL.pdf Many more peer reviewed papers say it is 256 fm, or 255 fm though. (search for '256 fm muonic' in the googlez). So who is right? And more...- seattle.truth

Graduate Can anyone confirm the ground state Bohr radius for muonic hydrogen?
Thanks in advance for anybody who is kind enough to help me. No this isn't for my homework. I am not even enrolled in school. I am doing some calculations for personal research. But I need to know the ground state radius of a muonic hydrogen atom to help prove my theory. I already know the...- seattle.truth

Graduate What is the correct math notation for the Coulomb Barrier?
Thank you for your response... I found a webpage using that equation, but it doesn't explain what the U means http://www.physics247.com/physics-homework-help/electric-potential-energy.php I am trying to write "the radius of a coulomb barrier" as a mathematical symbol (one symbol, not...- seattle.truth

Graduate What is the correct math notation for the Coulomb Barrier?
I am trying to find out what is the correct way to write the mathematical demarkation for the Coulomb Barrier. You know, if I wanted to write the symbol for the radius of the coulomb barrier. If anyone could show me it in the correct font that would be great. NO, this isn't for...- seattle.truth

Graduate How does M-theory explain genesis of the 11th dimension?
Hmmm.. I rate the science the same in both parties. They are both at the stage of unprovable hypothesis. Science requires tests or it's not science yet. I'm not saying that they shouldn't focus on it... But when Einstein released his 3 page paper without a SINGLE reference, stating as a...- seattle.truth

Oh LORD that's funny! You know M-theory almost makes me laugh. It is no more scientific than 'intelligent design", but taking occam's razor into account...- seattle.truth

Graduate How does M-theory explain genesis of the 11th dimension?
Sorry, I listened to the book out-loud, so I'm ignorant of spelling LOL. Thanks for your response. Can you give me a link which might explain the m-theory genesis better then (hopefully in layman's terms) if I'm misunderstanding it? I'm still really lost. Yes I do feel kid of...- seattle.truth

Graduate How does M-theory explain genesis of the 11th dimension?
I read Stephen Hawking new book and did a little research on M-theory. Apparently in the 11th dimension there are different brains that crash into each other. 2 of these brains crashing supposedly rendered our big bang, and explains why stuff came out in blobs (not homogeneous). But how...- seattle.truth

Graduate What is the significance of the classical electron radius?
I understand how the formulas for classical electron radius are derived.. but what significance does the classical radius really carry? Obviously it's not really the size of the electron. So what does it mean?? Thank you for any help... Sorry, I'm new to this stuff.- seattle.truth
