Does a Roller Coaster Exit a Loop at the Same Speed It Enters?

Hmm i guess that's true. I think i am maybe trying to over analyze my roller coaster problem. Thank you for your time and effort, much appriciated.

Does a Roller Coaster Exit a Loop at the Same Speed It Enters?

so there isn't an equation dealing with the degree of a loop and the velocity, mass, of coaster and pull of gravity to determine the end velocity? if friction and air resistance were negligible.

Is there such thing as a truly selfless act?

I'm a novice with philosphy but i have read Atlas Shrugged, The Fountainhead, and Anthem all by Ayn Rand, so i think i have some room to voice my thoughts. Yes as Ayn Rand might have said, the destruction of ones soul ( morals ideals and all the things that make up your 'self' ) is completely...

Does a Roller Coaster Exit a Loop at the Same Speed It Enters?

Lets assume its level coming out, how would go you go about finding its velocity?

How Can I Calculate the Size and Angle of Loops on a Rollercoaster?

ok a little off the topic of your question but from that same website i got a formula for projection, h = (ax^2)/(2v^2) it says x= distance from center of hill, V=velocity going over the hill, a=acceleration due to gravity(9.8m/s/s), and h= the height from the top of the hill. What does...

Does a Roller Coaster Exit a Loop at the Same Speed It Enters?

Of course the coaster would leave the loop with less speed than when it entered it - friction - but how do you calculate the speed of the coaster when it is leaving the loop?

Calculating Roller Coaster Design for Physics Class

I have an assignment in my high school physics class to create a roller coaster that has at least one loop and a number of turns and drops. I have been searching the web to find a way to calculate if my car i made of K-Nex weighing 3oz, 85.04g, will have enough speed to clear a loop. The drop...
