What do you mean? all i can think is that probably because no one knows what the critical rate is and it hasnt become critical yet.

Also to what Shalayka said... as we are still seeing red shift i don't think what i said about the universe returning to its original state is possible because it would have a blue shift so yea scratch what i wrote about that :) x

I was just wondering when you say time would have to speed up what do you mean? What is time relevant to? And it depends on whether you believe the universe is open or closed...the rods and rulers would shrink if the universe is closed but if it was open wouldn't they stay the same but objects...

lol...so if a photon doesn't exist until it is light, but light is structured with photons (right?) which makes which?...because if they both make each other, how do they come about in the first place? xx

But the reason that we have for the universe expanding is red shift, no? well i don't know that it is possible for everything to shrink becasue wouldn't that include the particles and fundementals to shrink asswell and if they are a constant then... I was thinking would we still observe...

I was watching something about Stephen Hawking last night all about how gravity originated from the big bang and there was a strange theory that they talked about right at the end of it which, weirdly, was the only thing that made a lot of sense to me. They were talking about the universe...

Well i wasnt completely sure so I've asked all the teachers lol and they say that it can be done with some kind of magnetic but its so complicated to explain that they didnt, just that in some intances it actually can be done xx

I don't agree with this, even in the terms of it being like Earth with no boudries because we don't know whether its curved or not just that it's expanding and if it is expanding there must be an edge that's moving foward hasnt there? Thats not very clear but you no what i mean... also if...
