How do I find total current when there are two emfs?
Thank you so much sir. You mentioned my values are wrong: either (1) Solved wrong (2) Sign problem (positive or negative). I will look into that. I have seen that you have to substitute in the exact value (without taking off the negatives) into the equations if (2) is the case you are pointing...- Sol_Engineered

How do I find total current when there are two emfs?
The question is what it is. Its a general confusion which I am having. Problem: Q. Using kirchhoffs laws to calculate branch currents and total current. Now I can use Kirchoffs voltage law to calculate branch currents through individual resistors. But when it comes finding total current I am...- Sol_Engineered

Should same values of currents be used in Kirchoff's laws?
. I checked out that total current (using alternative method) is same as that in I1. I can't seem to make myself clear that why would total current be same as in I1?- Sol_Engineered

Should same values of currents be used in Kirchoff's laws?
Homework Statement See above diagram for full details of the circuit Variables used: Assumption: direction of current is clockwise and the loops are positive in clockwise as well. Current through 1000 ohm=i1 Current through 4700 ohm-i2 Current through 2200 ohm=i3 Current through 1200...- Sol_Engineered
