Programs Can a law degree greatly help an Engineer?
From what the rest of the people have said, I gather that a Law degree won't really be beneficial to a full time practicing Engineer? So would it be wise instead to take a few courses of Law to be well versed in Patent Laws and stuff, but not a full 3 year degree in it?- Spherical

Know If Carbon is SP3 or SP2 Carbon
Is this with regards to hybrid orbitals? If it is, you have to look at its molecular geometry. It's sp2 if it's trigonal planar, sp3 if it's tetrahedral.- Spherical

Why Do Anions Increase in Size and How Are Ionic Compounds Named?
1. There's an increased electron-electron repulsion due to the extra negative charge, thus more repulsion and increased atomic size. 2. I think you're thinking "ionic" too specifically to only "metal" ions. Cations are normally metals, but not all of them. Normally, naming ionic compounds...- Spherical

Tired of school: Any sense in continuing?
I don't have any experience with this, although I do understand your predicament. First of all, ask yourself what went wrong. Why was it that 2 years ago you were so fond in math and physics, but now you find it to be so incredibly boring? Was it because you learned it to be not what you...- Spherical

Could a Clapping Device Be the Ultimate Mosquito Killer?
I don't think the clapper is too practical. My experience with a mosquito/fly killer in Taiwan is a container with a brightly lit luminescent lamp in the middle, surrounded by a metal mesh of high voltage electricity (which is then surrounded by an interlocking grid for safety measures.) You...- Spherical

Need help with univ. decision - Queen's vs Waterloo vs UofT for engineering
Well before I go further, what do you mean by industry? Are you thinking of it like process engineers and management positions in companies and businesses? Not necessarily so, there's lots of fields to find your niche in. From what I've garnered, engineering is a social/group work career...- Spherical

Need help with univ. decision - Queen's vs Waterloo vs UofT for engineering
To Andrew and others of this thread, I'll also share some of my perspectives and thoughts on these universities and see if I can't contribute to this discussion. I'm Grade 11, from Vancouver, just so you all know. For me, I know I won't be attending U of T. You have to ask yourself if you...- Spherical
