    Titration Question & reverse titration?

Homework Statement . A 50 mL acetate solution is titrated with a 0.2342 M HCl solution. The equivalence point occurs at 28.52 mL. Acetate is the conjugate base of acetic acid, for which Ka = 1.8 × 10-5 . b) Write down the titration reaction. c) Find the pH of the acetate solution at the...

    Find dy/dx at x = 2, if y =6u^2-11 and u = 3x^2 +2

    alright, thanks for the clarification

    Find dy/dx at x = 2, if y =6u^2-11 and u = 3x^2 +2

the only part I am confused about is if i derive y = 6u^2-11 first, then substitute u with 3x^2 +2. or if i substitute u with 3x^2 +2, then expand/simplify, then derivate the entire question. i got two answers. using the first method f'(2) = 2016 and the second method f'(2) = 144...

    If Logb(x) = 0.8, solve for Logb(x)(x^1/3)

ohh, ok i see my mistake now :S this is such an easy problem, i was jus over thinking >_<

    If Logb(x) = 0.8, solve for Logb(x)(x^1/3)

the only problem is that, the answer should be 1.07 =/

    If Logb(x) = 0.8, solve for Logb(x)(x^1/3)

    yea that's my question, how do you solve for x when ur given 2 variables? b is not given :S heres what I am doing so far:b0.8 = x Logb x + Logb 3√x Logb x + 1/3Logb x 0.8 + 1/3Logb x ?

    If Logb(x) = 0.8, solve for Logb(x)(x^1/3)

that would be simple, but its \log_b x( \sqrt[3]{x})

    If Logb(x) = 0.8, solve for Logb(x)(x^1/3)

hmm, let me scan it, i don't know how to do all these math symbols

    If Logb(x) = 0.8, solve for Logb(x)(x^1/3)

Homework Statement i got a question on a quiz, but i really did not know how to solve it. the question that was stated was: if \log_b x =0.8 Solve for \log_b x(\sqrt[3]{x})The Attempt at a Solution basically what i attempted to do was b0.8 = x Logb x + Logb 3√x Logb x + 1/3Logb x 0.8 +...

How do you find the equation of a Cubic function given 5 points? (no zeros)?

OMG! i love you forever, i had no idea this method existed, i already solved through almost an hour of writing matrices, with this i solved it in 3 minutes. thank you!

what exactly is the difference method? i ask because I've tried this question, and i kept getting it wrong.

How do you find the equation of a Cubic function given 5 points? (no zeros)?

Homework Statement what the questions asks is that i need to find the equation of a polynomial with these given points: 1,1 2,-3 3,5 4,37 5,105i know that one way to solve is by creating 5 equations then solve for ax^3+bx^2+cx+d using the elimination/substitution method. however is there...
