Find dy/dx at x = 2, if y =6u^2-11 and u = 3x^2 +2
the only part I am confused about is if i derive y = 6u^2-11 first, then substitute u with 3x^2 +2. or if i substitute u with 3x^2 +2, then expand/simplify, then derivate the entire question. i got two answers. using the first method f'(2) = 2016 and the second method f'(2) = 144...- srizen

If Logb(x) = 0.8, solve for Logb(x)(x^1/3)
yea that's my question, how do you solve for x when ur given 2 variables? b is not given :S heres what I am doing so far:b0.8 = x Logb x + Logb 3√x Logb x + 1/3Logb x 0.8 + 1/3Logb x ?- srizen

If Logb(x) = 0.8, solve for Logb(x)(x^1/3)
Homework Statement i got a question on a quiz, but i really did not know how to solve it. the question that was stated was: if \log_b x =0.8 Solve for \log_b x(\sqrt[3]{x})The Attempt at a Solution basically what i attempted to do was b0.8 = x Logb x + Logb 3√x Logb x + 1/3Logb x 0.8 +...- srizen
