Home school Calculas( high school level)
For #1 the final answer(first derivative) is (e^{4x} \cdot 2x^2) \cdot (4x+3) not 2x + 3...you multiplyed by 2 insted 4... Edit...even more simple it is if you leave it like this 6x^2 e^{4x} + 8x^3 e^{4x} and make a second derivative...- sstone

What kind of equation is this?
Well you forgot to add change 480 to -480 since you flipped sides. So...5t^2-100t-480=0 now the solutions are -4 and 24 and when you put them in the equation you get the correct solution. \frac { 20 \pm \sqrt { (-20)^2-4 \cdot 1 \cdot (-96) } } {2 \cdot 1} \frac { 20 \pm 28 } {2}- sstone

Neutron to start the chain reaction
Hello, I can't find  where do we get the starting neutron(s) for the chain reaction in the reactor. I'm aware that then the splitted atom emits enough(in fact even too much?) neutrons to selfsustain the reaction, which are then slowed down to be able to split uranium and so on...- sstone

High School Microsoft Calculator: What is the Exp Function Doing?
Well this E stands for \cdot 10^{2nd nr.}, for example, 2E5 is the same as 2 \cdot 10^5. So it is for multiply the first number with 10 to the power of the second number(after the E).- sstone

High School Microsoft Calculator: What is the Exp Function Doing?
Well if you want to calculate for instance 2^5 you should use the x^y function not the Exp function, the Exp function calculates 2 \cdot 10^5. I hope that I understood what you meant.- sstone

Undergrad Would Earth's Rotation Change If the Moon Exploded?
Well, if the Earth rotation slows down for about 1.5 milliseconds(1.5x10^-3 sec; per day) in one century it would take 100.000 years(1000 centuries) until the day would be 1.5 seconds longer.- sstone
