Studying Is it normal to be a dunce in some areas of physics?
I'm not where you are yet, I'm still an undergrad, I myself haven't had issues (yet) but that is a very interesting question I am going to have to ask my professors this...- stehfahknee

Using Eddington Luminosity to calculate mass
WHY do I over think everything? Its the same damn thing... nevermind me I'm just arguing with myself... As usual...- stehfahknee

Using Eddington Luminosity to calculate mass
I have the same questions, just put into a different scenario... I ended up taking the 1.4 root of 3.2x10^4 over 34.2 for an answer of 266, 000kg. Because i rounded to 133 Msun which makes 133x2x10^3kg...Is this completely off? My professor said I was right on... but now I am wondering if I...- stehfahknee

Undergrad Why can't we reach to Speed of light at Space?
You have a point. I'm reading up on it now, and getting pretty into it. Which means I will probably be preoccupied for the next...well... who knows how long... I tend to start reading about one thing, see something mentioned and go off on that branch, which leads to another and so on and so on...- stehfahknee

Opinion on BSIT to Astrophysics doctorate
No infactuated is the wrong word. It implies short-term. I have been in love with the subject since I was 7 years old and got my first telescope. Then my step-father got me a book about space and it talked about the theory of black-holes (this was the 80's) I was so fascinated by black holes and...- stehfahknee

Undergrad Why can't we reach to Speed of light at Space?
I have. Many disputes mostly and no way to know who is correct or incorrect. Which means more research to learn, but that's actually a good thing. I have always read that when you reach the speed of light things get weird. I'm off to read some more then.- stehfahknee

Opinion on BSIT to Astrophysics doctorate
Here is the background. First of all, I am not an 18 year old without responsibility and can do anything. I have 4 children, and spent most of my young adulthood "screwing around" so-to-speak (that has NOTHING to do with the 4 kids thank-you-very-much, that came AFTER I settled down). After my...- stehfahknee

Undergrad Why can't we reach to Speed of light at Space?
I will not pretend that I am an expert, but I do know that the laws of physics break down at that speed correct?- stehfahknee

Hello/hi/howdy/bonjour/buenas dias;tardes;noches/etc
This is my first actually joining a forum. I am EXTREMELY passionate about astrophysics, and really just physics in general. Nothing is more fascinating, although most everyone I know disagrees with me. I will, in the next year or so, be going into graduate school for my astrophysics doctorate...- stehfahknee
