Well, the first semi-accurate measurement of time came from pendulums. they had second pendumlums and what not. Well, I guess cause its something consistent that we can measure. They want something that is universally constant in nature. Its the same with a meter, being defined by distance traveled by light in absolute vacuum in 1⁄299,792,458 of a second.- Sutitan

Undergrad Can an egg be balanced on its end?
Before I ask my question, I understand its possible to balance an egg. I just went out to buy some eggs and did it. I seem to have a magic egg that literally takes me about 3 seconds to balance. (I did cheat a bit. I shook it up pretty nice to break the chalaza to lower the center of gravity.)...
