    Schools Graduate School/Program dealing with Computer Security

    I know Assembly, C, C++, .NET. I know how to use c and Aseembling to write decent explots. Like I've said that is a fraction of my collection. On my spare time, I was writing server/networking applications just for fun, and have used it to write trojans that I used on a virtual machine...

    I'm nervous on building my resume. I have a lot of knowledge, but a good chuck is stuff I learned on my own. A fraction of my library collection... http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/7094/img00032r.jpg

    Are you talking about jobs for the summer? If so, I'll start applying this coming break. I tried a few places late last year, during spring semester, but I was told, a lot of places want CS students with at least 2 years which I'll have this summer.

    The most difficult is finding an internship or a job. It may be my location, but its hard to find a job/internship that can help out with my major.

    When it comes to computers, I have my own library of related topics. I've pretty much taught myself a majority of what I know. Computer programming, computer repair and basic hardware, networking, and hacking/security. Along side that I've had classes dealing with them all, IT Security, Cisco...

    I still got a few years to decide, but I've been looking for schools that offer Graduate Degrees pertaining to Computer Security. I'm currently working on my undergrad degree in Computer Science. Any Suggestions?

    Merry-go-round + sphere tied to rod

    Homework Statement A small 0.160 kg sphere is suspended by a light string from a vertical post mounted at the edge of a merry-go-round of radius R = 0.440 m. The equilibrium position of the sphere is shown in the figure, with a = 0.430 m and b = 0.760 m. The axis of rotation is indicated by...

    Calculating Energy Dissipated by Friction

    Sorry. Thanks for the help. I wish I could figure this out and if not for the time, I probably would. Its roughly 2:20am and my brain has meant exhaustion. I'll check back at the thread after a good night sleep, even though I'll not be able to finish my homework on time.

    Calculating Energy Dissipated by Friction

    Okay. hyp. = sin\theta = \frac{hyp}{opp} = sin(20.5) = \frac{3.29}{x} x = \frac{sin(20.5)}{3.29}

    Calculating Energy Dissipated by Friction

    \int_0^{3.2} \left( ce_{KF} \cdot m\cdot g\cdot cos(\theta)\cdot h\right) dh \left[ ce_{KF} \cdot m\cdotg\cdot g\cdot cos(\theta) \cdot \frac{1}{2} h^{2} \right]_{0}^{3.2} ??

    Calculating Energy Dissipated by Friction

    Yes because friction is based of the Normal Force. And Normal force is perpendicular to the tangent line of the slide.

    Calculating Energy Dissipated by Friction

    In my diagram. Positive direction is to the right. Negative is to the left. Friction goes to the left. Tangent to the slide, I think..

    Calculating Energy Dissipated by Friction

    Negative because it acts against the positive kinetic energy. Maybe.. -F_f=\mu_f mg\cos\theta

    Calculating Energy Dissipated by Friction

    F_n_o_r_m_a_l = M *G * Cos (\theta)

    Calculating Energy Dissipated by Friction

    Ffriction = (Coefficient of KF) * (Force) W = \int F * dl Where dl = infinitive displacement.
