News American Community Survey - The Gov wants to know
"response is mandatory"... that doesn't mean that you have to tell the truth:wink:. Also, although that information seems rather intrusive, some part of the government already has most of that information. Between filing taxes, Social Security, etc. etc. there isn't much you're telling them that...- syko sykes

Get Football/Soccer Ready: Best Foods & Exercises for Optimal Condition
this doesn't have much to do with your injury but it also helps to have a breakfast with a high carb. count on game day. Something like cereal or pancakes is usually good or if it is an early game then maybe a pasta dinner the night before. The extra carbs should give you energy when you need it.- syko sykes

Designing a Bouncing Egg-Drop Container with Springs
does it absolutely have to be a "spring" or can you use some other material that makes the container bounce? i could think of ways to get it to bounce much more efficiently if you can use other materials as far as helping with the directional problem, surround your container with springs so...- syko sykes

Calculators TI-89 graphing calculator for 124$
the TI-89's are nice, no doubt, but there's not a whole lot more they can do than the 83. i don't think it would be worth the money for the upgrade. by 89 standards though, that is a pretty good price for a new one.- syko sykes

Get Football/Soccer Ready: Best Foods & Exercises for Optimal Condition
kind of depends on the type of injury but i wouldn't worry too much about it since september is 4 months away... that should be plenty of time to heal in general, calcium (milk products) helps heal bones and protein (meat, nuts) help heal muscle- syko sykes

Questions on HCl and H2SO4 reactions
as did I, although i forgot to say that you are taking the initiative to learn this on your own, especially as a 7th grader. High School chemistry is going to be so insanely easy for you if you keep this up.- syko sykes

Calculators Problem with TI89 Graphing Calculator - Solutions?
if you stil have the paperwork that came with it you should be able to find some warranty information. it should still be under warranty so if you can just make that one work until the end of the school year or whatever you can just send it in and they should replace it or fix it for free. i...- syko sykes

Can America compete: A textbook case of failure
That is exactly why i think our nations focus needs to lean more towards getting better teachers. As far as problems, for lower lvls it's easy and for higher lvls such as AP you can always get the problems from somewhere else. For example, most of the problems we did in my AP Calculus class...- syko sykes

Disney World PF Gathering and Tips for Disney Mania!
That sounds scarily similar to a trip my physics class recently took to Six Flags. I don't mean to dis your idea but I would suggest not wasting your time calculating things like the acceleration at the top of the tower. First off, you're supposed to have fun at Disneyland not do work. Second...- syko sykes

Can America compete: A textbook case of failure
I've found that the courses i do best in and the ones that I learn the most in are the ones where I never even open a textbook. A good teacher can do far more than a textbook could ever hope to. I think we should stop buying them altogether. I've found that very few students read the textbook...- syko sykes

Do you use calculator programs for calculus?
I used the TI-83+ calculator which already came with some good programs to use. I would also suggest learning how to write your own, it actually makes your life easier. Their is instruction on writing programs in the handbook that came with your calculator.- syko sykes
