MATLAB Matlab Function Fitting: Tips & Tricks
Hello all, How do people generally fit data in Matlab? I am trying to fit an exponential decay and it doesn't look straightforward. I am looking this up at the moment, but maybe people can give me good answers or starting points here. Thank you!- Synesthesia

Schools Where Can I Find Top Physics Grad Schools with a Focus on Safety in California?
Thanks for your replies. I will talk to my adviser. I going to have to disagree with nasijen however. I love physics, but I know what I want to do, and don't want to be too much of an open mind going into grad school. Also, I've done quite a bit of research, and it turns out the schools that...- Synesthesia

Schools Where Can I Find Top Physics Grad Schools with a Focus on Safety in California?
I see, thank you for replying. From what you've said I am probably well below the average applicant and might not have a chance of getting in everywhere. I have already considered applying into a MS applied physics or an electrical engineering program. Do you think these are better options for me?- Synesthesia

Practice for revised GRE (after August 1 2011)
Thanks for taking the time to link me! I should have mentioned that I've looked at the ETS stuff, and I felt it was too little. Isn't there anything else; like a book that covers the computerized version?- Synesthesia

Schools Where Can I Find Top Physics Grad Schools with a Focus on Safety in California?
Hello all, What are some safety physics grad schools, preferably in California. (I have 3.4 GPA). I'm going into spintronics/condensed matter. Right now I am applying to UCSB, Stanford, UCB, Caltech. Obviously all are quite a reach for me, so I am looking for some good safety schools...- Synesthesia

Is Downloading UIUC Mathematica Courseware Legal?
Actually, students are required to buy the courseware for $25 dollars, so this was a mistake link on the their part. Furthermore, the teacher is thinking of giving everyone who used the free version (courseware 6) a 0 on the homework assignments.- Synesthesia

Is Downloading UIUC Mathematica Courseware Legal?
I would contact them, put that would put me in a difficult situation ( I am encouraging downloading there instead of buying the courseware). I wanted to know the legal issues behind this before I contact any officials. Fundamentally it seems that UIUC is distributing copyrighted material for...- Synesthesia

Is Downloading UIUC Mathematica Courseware Legal?
Hello all, Does anyone know anything about copyrighting? I have been downloading courseware 6.0 from math everywhere from the UIUC website (there is a direct download link on the webpage). This is recently become an issue, should I be worried? The material costs money but my school provides...- Synesthesia
