Getting a High Speed Synchronous N-Channel MOSFET Driver working right
Im with DaveE on that comment. The design is pretty much a carbon copy of the DS.- techn0

Synchronous MOSFET Driver not functioning when voltage already present
I played around with what you suggested with no luck. I then did some testing with bringing the module voltage up from zero while not connected to the cap bank. I would get the module voltage similar to the cap bank and then connect them successfully. So now I have modified the circuit to...- techn0

Synchronous MOSFET Driver not functioning when voltage already present
I have designed a circuit (module) based around this example. I have it working quite well for one exception. I am trying to use this to charge and discharge a super capacitor bank. On Vout I have a 30 amp current monitoring IC that reads current in both directions so I can monitor and adjust...- techn0

Mosfet failures in this differential piezo drive circuit
If the charge pulse and the discharge pulse gates are left floating while the 100 to 200v power is present then the gates can float to those voltages as well instantly killing the mosfets. I have seen this on a circuit I am working with right now at only 24 volts vcc.- techn0

Getting a High Speed Synchronous N-Channel MOSFET Driver working right
I couldn't agree more.. I felt like I was checking everything but much like looking for something you lost. It is always found the last place you look. Trust me I was mad at myself more then anything.- techn0

Getting a High Speed Synchronous N-Channel MOSFET Driver working right
Update. With the new PCBs running the NCP3420 I was getting a better high gate wave form but things were still very off. Then after Checking to see if I had damaged some mosfets I was testing around with my ohm meter when I saw something strange. New PCB The problem that was present on both...- techn0

Getting a High Speed Synchronous N-Channel MOSFET Driver working right
I was just mentioning earlier that I have redesigned it using the mcp3420. I just sent the file off to get made today but the rest of this discussion is still me trying to get my previous iteration made with the ltc4449 working.- techn0

Getting a High Speed Synchronous N-Channel MOSFET Driver working right
This is an LTC4449 not NCP3420. Pin 1 is lower right Regulator ground is connected. Vcc and Vlogic are tied together in typical application in datasheet.- techn0

Getting a High Speed Synchronous N-Channel MOSFET Driver working right
I ran a thicker wire from the regulator to the via near the gate driver and added a 10uF ceramic at that via. Nothing changed. High Gate still completely useless. Here is original PCB Top traces and bottom. I do not do schematics I just draw the PCBs. Mods tried from orignal PCB are 10k...- techn0

Getting a High Speed Synchronous N-Channel MOSFET Driver working right
Yes the large cap is the 24v rail for the mosfets. The current pcb does not have any bypass cap near the gate driver. This is my first time using a gate driver of this sort so I did not know to use something. I will solder something in place tomorrow to give that a try. It would be...- techn0

Getting a High Speed Synchronous N-Channel MOSFET Driver working right
I received the new mosfets 0.22uf Cap and Shottky Diode. I have the exact same results as before. High side gate still does not work. I am so frustrated with this thing. I have re-soldered the gate driver probably a hundred times now. Only thing that changes is sometimes the low side does...- techn0

Getting a High Speed Synchronous N-Channel MOSFET Driver working right
I have a 1.5a 5v smps module I could install in place of the linear regulator? OKI-78SR-5/1.5-W36H-C Do you think that would be a better fit for this application?- techn0
