MHB Solving 2nd order differential equation numerically
Well that is not the problem, because I had already done that in all the next cells - taht was just the first cells... - I Really can't find the problem... (I have fixed what you said)- tejsa1

MHB Solving 2nd order differential equation numerically
Well I have solved it now, but there seems to be a problem. I solved it in maple and it gave me a (x,y)-graph but when i solved it in excel, with your method it gave me a different graph - Can you tell me what I did wrong if I send it to you? :D- tejsa1

MHB Solving 2nd order differential equation numerically
Thank you a lot! Taht helped I can calculate everything now. - but one last question. When I calculate rn+1,2,3,4 etc. Th$$$$e two top numbers will be my x and y values and the two at the bottom will be my vx and vy or what? Sorry for asking so stupid, but this is the kind of math that I think...- tejsa1

MHB Solving 2nd order differential equation numerically
Thanks for the extremely adequate answer! But I still haven't figured it out. I don't understand how to calculate k1, k2, k3 and k4 - can you give me one example please? :D- tejsa1

MHB Solving 2nd order differential equation numerically
I'm writing a paper about the projectile motion with the consideration og air resistance - I have obtained two formulas: ax = k*(vx2+vy2)0.5 * vx ay = k*(vx2+vy2)0.5 * vy - g (K and g are constants; K = -0,02, g =9,82) I cand write these two as 2 different differential equations: v'x(t) =...- tejsa1
