Once when I was 16 (the legal age of consent in the UK) I was at a party my girlfriend was holding, and we were just a little drunk. Anyhow, around 10pm I was with my girlfriend in her room... You can guess the rest and the general idea of the situation. After about 10 minutes we heard a knock...
I cannot believe some of the comments made here...
For goodness' sake people - let people believe what they'd like to believe, and leave it at that. If the topic creator would like to wear his shirt, fair enough. But no-one here should be telling people what to believe and what not to believe.
Yes, yes it is. In my mind, the infinite size of the universe (which I had mentioned, infact, check my FIRST post) is part of the consequences of the big bang. So perhaps anything saying the universe was not infinite would show that the big band was not true?
Please, stop nitpicking. I'm a...
Okay, okay, okay. I lose. That'll teach me to try and be big, clever, and make things up. I stand corrected for most if not all of my posts so far... Thank you for pointing out the flaws, even so. I feel like I learn through these stupid mistakes. :)
Thanks for the explanation/correction... As of yet I haven't even become a freshman yet - not till next year. So you see I wouldn't have reached that yet - only through a little of my own reading.

Thank you all (or most) for helping me with this, and assuring me I've concluded something which isn't completely stupid... as the current ideas and theories stand, at least.
At the moment, this is indeed the way I think. Saying this, if anyone comes to correct me with any evidence or theories...
As I said - I know very little of the physical sciences. I'm only just at A2 level, not even to degree standard. So, yes, it seems mysterious to me... but hopefully, then, it shall become "a common thing" when I have had the chance to study condensed matter.
I shall try not to, in...
Surely all the ideas here based on the Planck length and/or Planck time are heavily theoretical?
And Chronos, thanks for correcting me and helping me understand. I know it may seem basic to you but I'm only just getting into this...
