How many photons are emitted by accelerating electron?

    Very interesting, thank you.

How many photons are emitted by accelerating electron?

Does anyone know the pertinent equations to figuring out the relationship between speed, time, and frequency of emitted photons to shed more light (pun unintended) on this?

How many photons are emitted by accelerating electron?

And what determines the wavelengths of the emitted photons? In jumping from one orbital to a lower one, how many photons does an electron generally emit? Is it just one, with a wavelength determined by the distance jumped between orbitals, or many? In the case of an electron being...

    Some questions about dimensions 5 - 11

Interesting, interesting. Do you think this video: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-97057222894136590 gives a good description of the potential represented by the various dimensions?

    Some questions about dimensions 5 - 11

Thanks. Yeah, that makes sense, like time is the dimension that ultimately overcomes the expansion of the others. That gets me thinking, do the physics account for a 0th dimension, perhaps underlying and permeating the other dimensions?

    Some questions about dimensions 5 - 11

The difference is in the size of the dimensions, as you've been saying. The first 3 dimensions are infinitely large from our perspective, so we experience the potential they represent equally everywhere we go. The Planck scale dimensions are infinitely small from our perspective, so we can't...
