How Does a Photon Experience Time During Its Journey Across the Universe?

Nope, more like an observer "riding" a photon. Or an observer traveling at the speed of light, theoretically.

How Does a Photon Experience Time During Its Journey Across the Universe?

So, am I to understand that a photon can not be an observer, or have an observer? (https://www.physicsforums.com/showthread.php?t=511170)

    Black hole, time and observations

Thank you very much for the responses. I'll need to find a frame of reference that contains some spare time to read all the refs  Thus I'll give some response after updating my background knowledge on this subject.

    Black hole, time and observations

Hi All, Before I state my questions, let's test my assumptions / background knowledge: (The classical explanation?) Aaron and Bongani (sorry Alice and Bob is so boring) sits in a spaceship near a black hole. Aaron gets out and speeds towards the black hole. Aaron will experience...

Is the Universe Finite or Infinite?

BTW, what will the impact be if the universe is infinite or finite (lets say 10x billion light years, where x is a very large number) Or even is x is not that big number... Are we going to fall of the edge of the earth, erm... I meant universe. We can't even send a man to Mars yet or...

Is the Universe Finite or Infinite?

The definition according to the mighty Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universe" As for an infinite "thing" expanding, it makes a lot of sense; the observed distances of the "points" inside this "thing" will increase. (I think I read that it is not only the mass objects /...

Is the Universe Finite or Infinite?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olbers%27_paradox#The_mainstream_explanation". Note the part of the "fabric" space expanding (not just the distances between objects) If I understand the Big Bang theory; It all started with a finite amount of energy. If space is finite as well then what is the...

How Does Gravity Influence Our Understanding of Time Since the Big Bang?

I don't think time is constant (either is the perception of time). Atomic clocks runs at different times when at different gravities. (gravity field strengths)

Is the Universe Finite or Infinite?

Checking my assumptions: 1. Matter create space? 2. Matter expanse space? 3. Matter needs space to exists?

Neutron in a Cold Environment: Effects?

Uhm, I'm outside the USA thus had to look it up: http://www.upi.com/Top_News/2009/01/29/Los-Alamos-warns-of-beryllium-exposure/UPI-72381233231615/"

Neutron in a Cold Environment: Effects?

Thank you for the reply. (Seems like you'll be around for a long time; (T1/2)1.5×1017 years) P.s. They mine you near Rustenburg tʌŋstən

What Happens When We Cool and Slow Down Solar Particles?

Uhm, not really :blushing: And I suppose that a huge magnet will not help much other than push up the cost

What Happens When We Cool and Slow Down Solar Particles?

So, collection of them for manufacturing fuel or energy will not be a good idea, even if one is already in space?

What Happens When We Cool and Slow Down Solar Particles?

Uhm... To expand my question: What are these particles (to start off)? (Atoms, sub atomic particles, etc) Can these solar wind particles be used for anything useful? (Useful as in building stuff?) (The question was so clear in my mind, but I guess it is just one of those days )
