What is conserved in the various forms/types of entanglement?

As Zafa Pi said but I will put it simpler for you ... you need two to tango with entanglement, superposition requires only one thing in two states. I am going to use particle but I guess these days it should be particle /object/unit to allow for the fact that you can get macro object...

    Understand the idea of superposition

Definitely too many questions all together let me try and answer what I can, others may answer the rest and correct any errors. First Question: Does it only have to do with a particle's position, or can the particle's other properties be in a state of superposition as well? (Strangely, I...

What is conserved in the various forms/types of entanglement?

I am surprised at many of the answers above especially those who seem surprised that position can be entangled. Go back an read the original Einstein et al 1935 paper, the thought experiment is two quantum systems interacting in such a way as to link both their spatial coordinates in a...

Standardizing Elephant Weight: A Global Scientific Challenge

The horsepower history is mostly known. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horsepower#History_of_the_unit So perhaps standard elephants should be the same .. a little heavier than a real elephant

How Does New Macroscopic Entanglement Impact the Future of Teleportation?

    http://www.physorg.com/news/2011-08-entanglement-macroscopic-dissipation.html http://prl.aps.org/abstract/PRL/v107/i8/e080503 2.2cm cube (1 x 10E12) atoms entangled 0.5m apart for an hour now that's progress!

Physics Simulation: Calculating Gravitational Force between Earth and Sun

No you went wrong somewhere you should have got 3.54476E22N Did you remember to convert the kilometers to meters? 1.496E8km = 1.496E11m The easiest way to do it is in scientific notation simple do the maths on the number and add and subtract the exponentials Mass Sun: 1.989E30 kg...

    Gauss law for gravitational fields

The use of gauss is especially useful when you are inside a body and Newton's laws starts getting a little bit messy you need to invoke sheel theorem (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shell_theorem) Gauss's law is much easier in these situations especially with irregular bodies ... IMO.

Is the Atom and its particles proven?

I would say the conceptual idea of an atom and as a unit as per alxm has used it yes proven and atoms exist. What an atom actually looks like as in the old school interpretation of an electron particle spinning around the nucleus group of partciles which we used animate like a mini solar system...

    Hovercraft vibration noise problem

I haven't played with hovercraft for way too many years! Admittedly my early attempts I didnt even create a proper bell chamber it was just an open cavity with a skirt and they were particually loud with two counter rotating propellers for lift. Having a good model to start with would...

    Hovercraft vibration noise problem

Fan designed for high volume and fast rotating is always going to have servere noise problems as the pressure jacks up and down at the skirt. You are best talking to experts in the area like the hovercraft club in uk. http://www.hovercraft.org.uk/archive/index.php They have active forums...

Magnetic Field of High Speed Ions

I agree assuming the classic analysis was correct and I suspect it was checked ion's will make no difference they carry charge was all the analysis used. Two like charges moving parallel in the same direction should attract moving in opposite direction they should repel

Magnetic Field of High Speed Ions

The problem was taught as a classical physics question so I don't know how to see it in terms of moving frames. The question was usually posed thus Q. Two electrons separated by distance "r" move side by side along straight paths with equal velocities. Find the electric and magnetic forces...

Magnetic Field of High Speed Ions

The situation is no different to having two wires in parrallel proximity Remember from the textbooks Electric current can be related to the number density of electrons in a conductor and the speed with which they move by: I = nqvdA where n is the number density of charge carriers...

    Temperature/heat transfer in space

I would suggest the official NASA view (http://imagine.gsfc.nasa.gov/docs/ask_astro/answers/970603.html) is probably correct given the two references they cite are actual experiments on chimpanzees not a best guess scenario. You could look up the refereneces.
