Suitability of the NACA 0012 for aircrafts
Hello, I wanted to know how suitable is a NACA 0012 airfoil, in order to use it in commercial aircrafts? I mean to say, what are basically its advantages and disadvantages. And where it can be used. Thank you very much- v_arsha

What does a negative moment tell us about the characterisics of the airfoil?
I've done an experiment lately on the NACA-0012 and I've found that as the angle of attack increases, the moment becomes more negative. I wanted to know what does that negative value say about the characteristics of the airfoil, and what is its importance. If someone could help me out, this...- v_arsha

How does the pressure difference over a NACA 0012 affects its characteristics?
I wanted to know how does the pressure difference (on the upper and lower surface) affect the performance of the airfoil? That is, if the pressure difference is high/low, how does that affect the characteristics of the airfoil, taking naca 0012 as example, for increased angle of attack, the...- v_arsha

Why do maximum L/D and max. lift not occur at the same angle of attack?
Hello, I did a wind tunnel test with a NACA 0012 airfoil. And my results showed that the highest lift-to-drag ratio occurred at an angle of 12degrees where as my maximum lift is at 15degrees. I even read somewhere that these values do differ but there was no such explanation as in why is that...- v_arsha
