Want learning Material for motorcycle manufacturing
Thanks Jim :) It's true that we learn 100x faster by doing. In fact, I love being surrounded by machines and it's quite a good thing that I see what I learned from books. But the problem is our company is the leading manufacturer in our country and is highly competitive! So, not all are lending...- Varadha

Want learning Material for motorcycle manufacturing
Unluckily I am interning at a busy plant and they didnt provide me any classroom training/lecture! Right at the beginning, I was deployed to work in the shop floor. So, I am finding shortage of time to learn some basic concepts. Looking for any ebooks or learning modules on manufacturing...- Varadha

Will truss linkages diminish vibrations?
Is it possible to have a body supported by truss linkages and isolate them from any stresses and impulses? Say, we are supporting a platform on the top of a set of rigid, pin jointed and cross-linked members. If small impulses act on the bottom on the linkages(upwards), is there any...- Varadha

Suspension design for medical stretcher
Thanks etudiant and berkeman for all your support. Now I get a good idea of what I'm supposed to start with. I should think of a cheap and reliable backboard made from a reinforced fibre/flexible fabric material with air splints as the basic reconfiguration process with some focus on damping the...- Varadha

Suspension design for medical stretcher
Kind of. But I don't think getting them into backboard is cozy. Also I have to think of the possibilities of worsening the injuries inside the ambulance itself during travel; I suppose you know the road conditions of most of the places in India. A little comfortable gurneys are available only in...- Varadha

Engineering Which Is Better for My Future: Computer Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering?
If you love computer, you can learn as you go.. But you cannot learn mechanical engineering/mechatronics outside the classroom. So my suggestion is that you take up mechatronics..And still you can learn more and more about computers/programming online or through certificate courses..- Varadha

Suspension design for medical stretcher
Thank you! Yes. Cerebral bone injuries and spinal cord injuries go worse when the victim is shifted to the stretcher soon after the casualty. I want to work on the stretcher itself so that I could get the patient a little more cozy into the stretcher and also while transportation on ramps...- Varadha

Suspension design for medical stretcher
Yes. I don't know much about what the westerners are up to, but here in India, most casualties(especially road accident victims) suffer very much in getting manhandled and transportation. And when I visited a few orthopaedic patients in a hospital, most of them told me that they couldn't bear...- Varadha

Suspension design for medical stretcher
Hello guys. I've planned to do my project on mechanising stretcher so as to minimise the injuries caused in handling casualties/traumatic patients on stretcher. My intuition was that if we could make a suspension/vibration damping mechanism along with special retractable compartments for holding...- Varadha
